Daisy loves to jump up onto the back of the couch and then watch us as we go about walking around the kitchen area. And one day little Ginger decided that looked pretty cool as well . . .

They grow so fast, these golden puppies. You bring them home, you blink and next thing you know, they're in the awkward gangling phase and then fully grown . . .

ZuZu is our first golden retriever that has really taken to playing catch with frisbees. When you pull the frisbee back to throw, she'll get a little bit of a head start and run as fast as she can to catch it . . .

Daisy loves to jump up on the loveseat in my office and take naps, a lot of naps. During the autumn, the sun comes through the window just right and keeps her nice and toasty . . .

One beautiful September evening, ZuZu started running in circles around me, so I couldn't resist snapping a motion image of her as she made another pass. You can see she's pretty happy about this, even though it was a little dizzying for me.

Puppy Ginger is a very happy golden retriever and celebrates every day. I just happened to catch her when she was blinking while smiling, but it does look like she's putting a good giggle on. Always makes us smile . . .

This image was put together for one of the national dog days or golden retriever day, not sure which one as there are quite a few. But anyway, around here, every day is a Golden Day!

When the delicious sweet corn is ready on the farms in Illinois, what a wonderful time of the year it is. And it's not only us, but our pups sure do like a bite or two of the goodness. Daisy and Ginger take their turn at nibbling a little of the cob (but not too much).

This is a pretty good summation of each of our golden angels: Paczki is Comfort (therapy dog), ZuZu is pure Joy, Daisy is all Love, and little Ginger is Happiness with lots of celebrations. It's a rough life, indeed!

At nine weeks old, and still a little munchkin, it was time to get Ginger used to posing with the pack. She was getting the sit and stay okay, but there was not a lot of sitting or staying at this age . . .
